Some mass relations for mesons and baryons in Regge phenomenology

Abstract: In the quasilinear Regge trajectory ansatz, some useful linear mass inequalities, quadratic mass inequalities and quadratic mass equalities are derived for mesons and baryons. Based on these relations, mass ranges of some mesons and baryons are given. The masses ofbc and ss belonging to the pseudoscalar, vector and tensor meson multiplets are also extracted. The J P of the baryon Ξ + cc (3520) is assigned to be

“…Studying these channels allows one to check the QCD phenomena at low-energies, the violation of U (3) × U (3) symmetry and the fulfillment of predictions of the vector dominance model. The process τ → K * 0 (892)K − ν τ was repeatedly investigated from both the experimental [1,2,3] and theoretical [4,5,6] points of view. The data for these studies were collected with the ARGUS detector at the storage ring DORIS II of DESY [1] and with the ALEPH detector at the LEP [2].…”

“…Theoretical calculations of the process τ → K * 0 (892)K − ν τ were carried out in the framework of the U (3) × U (3) chiral-symmetric model [4] and chiral theories with resonances [5]. Also, in the recent theoretical paper [6], the angular momentum algebra was applied.…”

“…The Regge theory is concerned with almost all aspects of strong interactions. One of the most distinctive features of the Regge theory is the Regge trajectory which is one of the effective approaches for studying hadron spectra [3][4][5][6][7].…”

“…The spectroscopy of charmed baryons has been investigated in various models. So far, the several kinds of quark potential models [6][7][8][9][10], the relativistic flux tube (RFT) model [11,12], the coupled channel model [13], the QCD sum rule [14][15][16], and the Regge phenomenology [17] have been applied to study the mass spectra of excited charmed baryons, and so did lattice QCD [18,19]. The strong decay behaviors of charmed baryons have been studied by several methods, such as the heavy hadron chiral perturbation theory (HHChPT) [20,21], the chiral quark model [22,23], the 3 P 0 model [24], and a non-relativistic quark model [25].…”
