Some aspects of the behaviour of muntjacs in Wilpattu National Park

Abstract: Une etude du comportement du muntjac (Muntiacus muntjak) a ete realisoe dans le pare national de Wilpattu ä Gey Ian, de septembre 1972 ä octobre 1973. Un total de 1056 muntjacs furent observes, dont 1005 furent classes selon leur äge et leur sexe. De tous les muntjacs observes, 64,5% etaient solitaires, alors que 30,8% elaient en groupes de 2 et 4,7 % en groupes de 3 ou 4. Je n'ai vu aucun groupe de plus de 4 individus.
