Solution-Focused Brief Therapy

Abstract: A brief history on Solution-Focused Brief Therapy is given, followed by pragmatic assumptions, offering a new 'lens' for looking at clients. SFBT originated from social constructionism: reality is subjective and there are many realities, all equally correct. Outcome studies indicate that SFBT has a positive effect in less time and satisfies the client's need for autonomy.
