Solid‐phase microextraction of phthalate esters by a new coating based on a thermally stable polypyrrole/graphene oxide composite

Abstract: A novel polypyrole/graphene oxide coating was made by the electrochemical polymerization of pyrrole in the presence of sodium dodecyl sulfate and graphene oxide on a platinum wire. The prepared fiber has shown a good thermal stability up to 300°C. The fiber was applied to the direct solid-phase microextraction and gas chromatographic analysis of four phthalate esters. The effect of four parameters on gas chromatography peak area including extraction temperature, extraction time, injection temperature, and ioni… Show more

“…As a new class of carbon nanostructures, graphene has received attention because of its extensive surface area and high stability and thus has wide potentials as a sorbent material in SPME . Recently, a composite coating of polypyrole/graphene oxide has been prepared in the presence of SDS as a high thermally stable coating for SPME . The reported composite coating has a porous structure; with high specific surface area and adsorption capacity therefore, so that a high extraction capacity could be achieved .…”

“…And Luo et al [85] prepared another substrateless graphene fiber by hydrothermal reduction of graphene oxide in a capillary mold. In addition, GO, functionalized graphene, and the composites of graphene were also developed into SPME fiber coatings by using the similar methods aforementioned [86][87][88][89][90].…”
