Abstract: The escarpment on the north side of Wild Cat Ridge drops abruptly into the Platte River Valley, a small section of which occurs in the extreme Jiortheastern part of the county. The topography of this section is flat to rolling, the surface sloping gently toward the north. “…A similar analysis of the pancreatic digest (Table 2) shows ptRNAGIU to contain 3 moles of G-U-(fragment 6), whereas tRNAGIu has only one in addition to a pG-U-(fragment 10) terminus. The 3'-end of ptRNAGIu, fragment 16 (not shown in Fig. 1), is C-C-AOH as in the mature tRNA.…”

“…Specific screening potentially niay be a valuable approach in view of the apparent heterogenous nature of this tumour. including drug-resistant populations and b large nonproliferating pool of cells which may be less responsiSe to certain antitumour agents (17,44). The more recent studiei by Salmon et al (37) have, however, raised great interest in in vitro drug sensitivity testing.…”

“…Connor (1951) states that "Although more mineralized, the ground water is similar in composition to the surface water. " Soil surveys in Custer, Valley, Sherman, and Howard Counties by Hayes and others (1926), Gemmell and others (1932), Brown, Gemmell, and Hayes (1931), and Hayes and others (1924) indicate that the principal soils in the proposed irrigation area are of the Valentine, Grundy, Hall, and Cass series. In general, these soils have been leached of much of their soluble salts and are known to contain little calcareous material.…”
