“…The spread of COVID-19 in Slovakia, as depicted in the spatiotemporal maps across different age groups, can be attributed to several factors. Initially, the emergence of isolated clusters in major urban centers such as Bratislava and Košice suggests that the virus was likely introduced through international travel connections, a common pathway for global early infections [ 13 , 14 ]. As the pandemic progressed, factors such as population density, mobility within and between regions, and social interactions likely facilitated the virus’s spread to urban and rural neighboring districts [ 15 ].…”

“…Reto ineludible para los Estados, y de alta complejidad. Ya que al afrontar un shock por el cese de operaciones productivas y contracción inminente de la oferta se genera una complicación económica en toda la población lo que potenciado por la indisponibilidad de información asociada a la evolución del virus forma una característica subyacente a la economía, la incertidumbre (25).…”

“…The global confirmed infection cases of COVID-19 have increased more rapidly since the beginning of the year 2022 than 2020 and 2021. There are many factors contributing to the COVID-19 spread, such as social contact 1 4 and violation of social distancing rules 5 , 6 , built environment and transportation factors 7 9 , socio-economic factors 10 , and meteorological factors 11 . There is further direct evidence showing a strong correlation between the number of coronaviruses (including SARS-CoV-2) and local bat species richness (on average, 2.7 coronaviruses harbored by each bat species) in Yunnan province of China and neighboring regions in Myanmar and Laos, which are shown to form a global hotspot of climate change-driven increase in bat richness 12 .…”
