Objective: to analyze social network and types of support for women in situations of violence by an intimate partner.Method: qualitative and analytical research, anchored in the Sanicola Social Network Theory. The social actors were 20 women who experienced partner violence who were interviewed at a Specialized Care Center in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. A semi-structured and individual instrument was used. In order to elaborate a map of the social network, the women were asked to help the researcher in the production of a representative drawing of their relations with people and institutions in the context of violence. The theoretical approach allowed an understanding of the social relational dynamics faced by which women regarding violence. The statements were organized by the content analysis method.Results: the primary social network of women was composed of children, siblings, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law and friends who provided emotional and material support. The secondary network was represented by the services and information support obtained in the hospital, health center, specialized care center and police station. The women had greater proximity and stronger bonds with children, daughtersin-law and sons-in-law; kept distance from their parents and had conflicting bonds in their relationship with the intimate partner.Conclusion: discontinuous or fragile bonds for the most part, were identified with elements of the primary network; and the normal or strong, with the secondary network. Women are distant from the members of the primary network and close to the secondary network, establishing bonds through welcoming and resolute attention. The social network map built with women was determinant for support intervention for self-esteem. DESCRIPTORS:Nursing. Women's health. Violence against women. Qualitative research. Os atores sociais foram 20 mulheres que vivenciaram violência pelo parceiro, entrevistadas em Centro Especializado de Atendimento no Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. Utilizou-se instrumento semiestruturado e individual. Para elaborar mapa da rede social solicitou-se às mulheres que auxiliassem o pesquisador na confecção do desenho representativo de suas relações com pessoas e instituições no contexto da violência. A abordagem teórica permitiu entendimento das dinâmicas relacionais sociais em que a mulher está inserida para enfrentamento da violência. Objetivo: Comprender la atención de enfermería que se brinda a los niños y a los adolescentes que viven en situación de violencia doméstica desde la perspectiva de estudiantes de enfermería que están próximos a graduarse.Metodología: Estudio descriptivo con enfoque cualitativo, realizado en julio de 2014 mediante una entrevista semiestructurada con 30 estudiantes de enfermería de una institución pública de educación superior del Estado de Pernambuco, Brasil. El análisis de los datos se llevó a cabo a través del análisis de contenido.Resultados: La atención de enfermería se entiende desde la lógica de proporcionar cuidados curativos y remitir el problema a los demás profesionales del equipo de salud. Así mismo, se reconoció que para enfrentar la violencia doméstica es necesaria la participación de todo el equipo y de los órganos de la red de protección social, destacando la importancia de la educación en salud.Conclusión: Es imperativo abordar la temática sobre violencia doméstica en el plan de estudios de pregrado, con el fin de facilitar la atención efectiva, por parte de los futuros profesionales de la salud, en los casos de violencia doméstica.

Objective: Analyze adolescents' perceptions about support networks and their health needs. Method: Analytical and interpretive study using focus groups conducted in municipal state schools in Fortaleza, in the State of Ceará during the first semester of 2012. The sample comprised 36 male and female adolescents aged between 13 and 16 years attending the ninth grade of the second phase of elementary school. Results: Thematic analysis revealed that the health care support network and interaction between health professionals, education professionals and family members was insufficient, constituting a lack of an integrated network to enable and provide support for health promotion. Conclusion: Coordination between education, health and family services has the potential to act as a support network to help meet adolescents' healthcare needs and demands.
