Prospective mathematics teachers are required to be able to master facts and be able to give examples that exist in everyday life. A prospective mathematics teacher is expected to be skilled and mature in using media when operating, explaining and demonstrating direct objects that exist in any complex variable material. The aim of this study is to analyze the obstacles and difficulties of students in Mathematics. Two indicators for assessing mathematics learning outcomes: 1) Direct objects (Facts, Concepts, Skills, and Principles), and 2) Indirect objects (Internet and friends). Mixed methods research method. The subject of the complex variable mathematics course and the student object. Qualitative data collection techniques by observation, interviews, documentation and quantitative survey method collection techniques by distributing instruments. Analysis with, presentation, reduction, presenting bar charts, data synchronization and drawing conclusions. The findings, students' difficulties lie in the direct object, namely mastery of mathematical facts 95.55% and concept difficulties 91.11%, principle (formula) difficulties 91.11% and algorithms 75.55%. Students who get good grades online are assisted by indirect objects, namely the internet and other student discussion partners. In conclusion, students' obstacles and difficulties lie in the direct objects of fact indicators (definitions) and concepts. Material design, facts and concepts with group discussion models are learning solutions.

The essential purpose of developing PISA-like questions is to train students' reasoning abilities so that students' ability to solve PISA-like questions increases. Therefore, this research aims to produce PISA-like math problems in the context of historical buildings in the Karawang Regency that are valid, practical, and potentially affect mathematics learning. The subjects of this study were junior high school students at SMPN 2 Karawang Barat. This research uses design research with development studies, consisting of preliminary and prototyping phases. The preliminary stage consists of two stages: needs analysis and design, while the prototyping stage consists of 5 phases: self-evaluation, expert review, one-to-one, small group, and field tests. The data collection techniques in this study were in the form of PISA-like math problems in the context of shape and space with the context of Historic Buildings in Karawang, observations, questionnaires, and interviews. All data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The results show that this study resulted in nine PISA-like math problems in the context of shape and space with the context of Historic Buildings in Karawang that are valid, practical, and potentially affect learning mathematics. The potential effect is related to students' interest in PISA-like questions and students' ability to understand and answer PISA-like questions. Finally, the results of this study have an impact on students who are getting trained in solving PISA-like math problems.

Egy fél évszázaddal ezelőtt a magyar diákok természettudomány-tudás tekintetében még a világ legjobbjai között voltak; azonban a legújabb nemzetközi felmérések szerint teljesítményük folyamatosan romlik, és ma már a fejlett országok átlagos szintjét sem éri el. A problémákat jelzi az is, hogy a kémia és a fizika a legnépszerűtlenebb iskolai tantárgyak a tanulók attitűdjeit, az érettségiként választott tárgyakat és a tanári szakokra jelentkezők arányát tekintve egyaránt. A természettudomány tanításának egyik problémája a tantervekben rejlik. Nincs egységes természettudomány tantárgy, a különböző neveken, illetve diszciplínákra osztva tanított tantárgyak tartalma nincs összehangolva. Az USA közoktatása, minden problémája ellenére is számos figyelemre méltó vonással rendelkezik, és ezek közé tartozik a természettudomány tanításának tartalmi szabályozása. A tanítás céljait keretbe foglaló Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) tudományos megalapozottságát, szemléletmódját és igényességét tekintve a maga műfajában a nemzetközi élvonalat képviseli. A tanulmány áttekinti a NGSS legfontosabb tartalmi vonásait, és összehasonlítja azokat a magyar Nemzeti alaptanterv természettudományra vonatkozó tartalmával. A NGSS fő értékei közé tartozik, hogy az iskolát megelőző két óvodai évtől a tizenkét évfolyamos közoktatásig egységes keretbe foglalja a természettudomány tanítását. A tanítás tartalmainak felvázolása helyett azt írja le, milyen tudás várható el a tanulóktól. Az NGSS gyakorlatba való átültetést folyamatos kutató-fejlesztő munka támogatja. A NGSS és a hozzá kapcsolódó tudományos kutatás tanulmányozása segítheti a magyar természettudomány-tanítás fejlesztését is.
