Sistem smart home saat ini telah banyak diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Smart home mampu memberikan keamanan dan kenyamanan pada penghuni rumah. Sistem ini bekerja dengan mengontrol beberapa peralatan rumah tangga. Pada umumnya sebagian besar sistem kendali peralatan listrik rumahan masih bersifat manual yaitu dengan menghubungkan peralatan listrik pada stop kontak atau menekan saklar secara langsung. Penerapan sistem kendali manual seringkali membuat pengguna lupa mematikan saklar atau peralatan elektronik lainya saat sedang keluar rumah. Oleh karenanya, pengguna diharuskan untuk mematikan secara manual dengan kembali ke rumah atau terkadang dibiarkan menyala oleh pemilik rumah. Penerapan sistem kendali yang dapat dioperasikan dari jarak jauh diperlukan untuk mengatasi hal ini. Sistem ini mampu membuat pengoperasian dan pemantauan peralatan listrik menjadi lebih efisien. Pada penelitian ini, prototipe sistem smart home dibuat dengan memanfaatkan fitur chat yang tersedia pada Telegram yang dipakai untuk mengontrol relay modul. Sistem bot pada Telegram digunakan sebagai pengirim dan penerima pesan untuk mengontrol relay modul yang terhubung pada peralatan kelistrikan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development. Sistem dikembangkan menggunakan Modul NodeMCU ESP32 perangkat lunak Micropython. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian yang dilakukan, menunjukkan bahwa hasil uji kelayakan rata-rata keseluruhan adalah 84% yang meliputi aspek desain alat, aspek kinerja alat, aspek kemudahan pengoperasian dan implementasi. Penilaian hasil uji kelayakan diberikan oleh narasumber ahli dibidangnya sehingga menunjukkan bahwa prototipe ini sudah cukup baik dan layak untuk diterapkan pada sebuah rumah. The smart home system is now widely applied in everyday life. Smart home can provide security and comfort to the occupants of the house. This system works by controlling several household appliances. In general, most control systems for home electrical equipment are still manual, namely by connecting electrical equipment to a wall socket or pressing the switch directly. The application of a manual control system often makes users forget to turn off switches or other electronic equipment when leaving the house. Therefore, the user must turn it off manually by returning home, or sometimes it is left on by the homeowner. The application of a control system that can be operated remotely is required to overcome this. This system can make the operation and monitoring of electrical equipment more efficient. In this study, a smart home system prototype was created by utilizing the chat feature available on Telegram, which controls the relay module. The bot system on Telegram is used as a message sender and receiver to control relay modules connected to electrical equipment. The method used in this research is Research and Development. The system was developed using the NodeMCU ESP32 Module and Micropython software. Based on the tests conducted, the overall average due diligence result is 84% , including aspects of tool design, tool performance, and ease of operation and implementation. Expert sources assessed the feasibility test results in their fields to show that this prototype was good enough and feasible to be applied to a house.

Technology has boosted electric power consumption both locally and worldwide, resulting in a substantial increase in demand for electric power. A multiobjective smart house human-computer interaction load control method is suggested to meet the goal of lowering power usage and pricing in smart home load control. It presents a model that includes marginal costs and establishes an electricity price model that takes the load rate into account. It identifies switch appliances and temperature control appliances and gathers human activities, indoor and outdoor temperature, and light intensity using intelligent equipment to create a multiparameter comfort model. It creates a multiobjective model of comfort and electricity price with the purpose of reducing electricity price and multiparameter comfort, and it improves particle swarm performance by using a distance ratio based on fitness value. The optimization algorithm solves the model, determines the best smart home human-computer interaction load control scheme, creates the smart home remote control system’s functional modules, and optimizes the multiobjective smart home human-computer interaction load control algorithm using a frequency-duration parameter tracking learning model. The testing findings suggest that the proposed algorithm can cut power prices in a reasonable manner, as well as regulating 40% reduced electricity usage and load in smart homes.

The smart home is now an established area of interest and research that contributes to comfort in modern homes. With the Internet being an essential part of broad communication in modern life, IoT has allowed homes to go beyond building to interactive abodes. In many spheres of human life, the IoT has grown exponentially, including monitoring ecological factors, controlling the home and its appliances, and storing data generated by devices in the house in the cloud. Smart home includes multiple components, technologies, and devices that generate valuable data for predicting home and environment activities. This work presents the design and development of a ubiquitous, cloud-based intelligent home automation system. The system controls, monitors, and oversees the security of a home and its environment via an Android mobile application. One module controls and monitors electrical appliances and environmental factors, while another module oversees the home’s security by detecting motion and capturing images. Our work uses a camera to capture images of objects triggered by their motion being detected. To avoid false alarms, we used the concept of machine learning to differentiate between images of regular home occupants and those of an intruder. The support vector machine algorithm is proposed in this study to classify the features of the image captured and determine if it is that of a regular home occupant or an intruder before sending an alarm to the user. The design of the mobile application allows a graphical display of the activities in the house. Our work proves that machine learning algorithms can improve home automation system functionality and enhance home security. The work’s prototype was implemented using an ESP8266 board, an ESP32-CAM board, a 5 V four-channel relay module, and sensors.
