The fi decay Agll~Cd n~ has been investigated with a double lens spectrometer and a ~-y circular-polarization correlation setup. The shape of the 6 + -+ 6 +/~ spectrum with E 0 = 529 keV was found to be allowed, in disagreement with earlier work. The constant A of the fl-y circular-polarization correlation was measured to be A ~ 0'07 • 0.02. This implies a ratio X of Fermi to Gamow-Teller contribution +2.3 to the decay of X 1 = --0.02 ~ 0'03 or X 2 = --10.34.1. Qualitative shell model considerations favor the value X 1 . Additional information is given for the disintegration schemes of Ag ll~ and Ag n~
