Slope stability analysis in various Terraces model (case study: Sendangmulyo, Tirtomulyo District, Wonogiri Regency)

Abstract: Wonogiri has various contours. Steep slopes dominate some areas. Hence it has a high possibility to occur landslides. There are still a lot of people living under the slopes. Therefore, this research is essential for disaster mitigation purposes. The study aims to know how the value of the slope safety factor changes with construction terraces design. The research was conducted by collecting secondary data and improving the Terraces construction carried out. The data was analyzed in the limit equilibrium metho… Show more

“…This result can be caused by the rice fields' terracing system on sloping area (>0%). According to Surjandari et al (2021), terracing is a form of conservation construction as an effort to reduce the slope. The purpose of terraces is to minimize surface runoff, the erosion of soil, and increase water absorption.…”

“…Balikpapan -Samarinda Toll Road Project was constructed in terraces design with 18m height slopes in stationing 28+000 to 28+100, preventing the landslide. Although this strategy sometimes produces safety conditions [1], [2], the design offers the opposite situation on this site. This section presents several cracks in the slope body after heavy rainfall, which leads to mass material movement downhill.…”
