Ejaculates (n = 15/day) were immediately diluted with Beltsville poultry semen extender 1:1 (v:v) comprising potassium diphosphate (1.27 g), sodium glutamate monohydrate (0.867 g), fructose (0.5 g), sodium acetate anhydrous (0.43 g), Tris (hydroxymethyl)-aminomethane (0.195 g), potassium citrate monohydrate (0.064 g), potassium monophosphate (0.065 g), magnesium chloride (0.034 g), and H 2 O (100 ml); pH = 7.5, and osmolality 333 mOsm/kg 38 .
