Abstract:Introduction: Gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) is a rare neoplasm representing 80% of gastrointestinal neoplasms. Laparoscopic resection is only recommended for GIST less than 2 cm and 5 cm for laparoscopic wedge resection. Thus, a large GIST is recommended to complete resection through laparotomy.
