Síndrome de Dandy-walker

Abstract

O craniograma mostrará disjunção das suturas ou aumento da fontanela e a impressão dos seios laterais nos ossos parietais. Nem sempre esta impressão aparece, porque é preciso certo tempo para que ela se forme 4 e, então, podemos ter apenas sinais de hidrocéfalo. Nestes casos, o estudo neurorradiológico contrastado d-eve ser iniciado pela pneumencefalografia, embora seja a ventriculografia o exame que dá maiores informações. Fazemos o estudo pneumencefalográfico em primeiro lugar porque este exame permite a visualização do espaço subaracnoideo para saber se está ou não permeável. Este exame deve ser realizado após a retirada de certa quantidade de líquido cefalorraqueano do ventrículo para diminuir a hipertensão e permitir melhor visualização do espaço subaracnoideo. Se houver penetração de ar nos ventrículos podemos pôr em dúvida a existência da malformação

Dandy-Walker syndrome in adult mimicking myasthenia gravis

Entretanto, Dandy, Taggart e Walker foram quem descreveram os elementos clínicos e radiológicos necessários para a perfeita caracterização da síndrome (Costa, 1973). Esta síndrome apresenta malformações cerebrais, alteração nos vermis, dilatação do sistema ventricular, muitas vezes diagnosticado inicialmente como hidrocefalia.…”
