“…A steep gradient of potassium hydrogenphthalate (0-100 mM, 0-5 min) separated organic from inorganic arsenicals on a short column (25 mm) in less than three minutes [165] and AsIII/AsV were separated (12.5 mM malonate and 17.5 mM AcO pH 4.8) on another short column (50 mm) in less than 2 minutes [72,73]. Such short t R were also obtained on a micro column (ANX 1606AS, CETAC) with tartrate (5 mM, pH 8.5) separating AsIII and AsV [40,166]. A TRIS-buffer gradient (30-100 mM, pH 7) on a PRP-X100 column gave a better separation compared to phosphate [160].…”

“…The developed method provided a good separation of the target analytes from the naturally occurring arsenic compounds, with low detection limits, small sample size (<1 μl) and reduced solvent consumption (40 μL min -1 ). Later, a similar chromatographic system was used by Wangkarn and Pergantis [12] to accomplish a fast (< 3 min) determination of As Woller et al [13] reported the simultaneous speciation of redox species of arsenic (As [15][16] reported the determination of As III , As V , MA and DMA in urine samples by anion-exchange narrowbore HPLC, using pneumatic nebulisation [15] or UV photooxidation/Hydride Generation [16] as the interface between the chromatographic system and ICPMS. The achieved detection limits were in the 0.2-0.4 μg/l range.…”

“…The MCN has been used for the analysis of samples containing high concentrations of mineral acids, high levels of dissolved solids and many other types of dissolved and inorganic materials [13]. The installation is easy and no special requirement concerning the gas supply is needed.…”

“…[3][4][5] While combining with an on-line preconcentration system, 6-8 the ICP-MS may further enhance its detection sensitivity. Although ion-exchange resins have usually been adopted for matrix separation and sample preconcentration in aqueous solution, [9][10][11][12] in this work we focused on the liquid-solid sorbent extraction method as an alternative, and employed a desolvation system to improve the operation efficiency.…”
