“…In addition, the solubility of NO and NO 2 in water is 0.032 and 213.0 g/L, respectively. [ 73 ] The solubility of NO 2 is 6656 times that of NO, thus NO 2 is more soluble in water and forms NO 3 − . In short, due to the high reaction rate and solubility of NO 2 , NO 3 − becomes the main product of PAW in liquid, while NO becomes the main product of PAW in gas phase.…”

“…The oxidants studied mainly contained hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O 2 ), , sodium persulfate (Na 2 S 2 O 8 ), sodium hypochlorite (NaClO), sodium chlorite (NaClO 2 ), potassium permanganate (KMnO 4 ), and ozone (O 3 ). The alkaline absorbents studied mainly included ammonia, magnesia slurry, sodium hydroxide, and calcium hydroxide . The principle of these methods was to oxidize NO into NO 2 with high solubility, and then NO 2 was absorbed by alkaline absorbents or hydrolyzed.…”

“…The alkaline absorbents studied mainly included ammonia, 19 magnesia slurry, 20 sodium hydroxide, 21 and calcium hydroxide. 22 The principle of these methods was to oxidize NO into NO 2 with high solubility, and then NO 2 was absorbed by alkaline absorbents or hydrolyzed. Almost all NO in exhaust gas was converted into nitrate.…”

“…Sulfur oxides and nitrogen oxides are two main pollutant emissions of sintering flue gas in steel plants. , It is necessary to carry out desulfurization and denitrification of sintering flue gas, so as to reduce the pollutant emissions and meet the requirements of environmental protection standards. In recent years, China has further increased the environmental protection requirements of the steel industry, and the SO 2 and NO x emission standards have been raised from low emission standard (≤200 and ≤300 mg/Nm 3 respectively) in 2015 to ultralow standard (35 and 50 mg/Nm 3 respectively). Given the new standard being adopted, traditional desulfurization and denitrification technologies have to be optimized to achieve the goal of the ultralow emission standard.…”
