“…With the presence of HCO3 − , the removal rate of Sb(V) by coagulation was slightly decreased because the hydrolysis of HCO3 − decreased the pH of the solution and affected the removal of Sb(V). However, with the presence of PO4 3− , the removal of Sb(III) and Sb(V) was decreased remarkably, which was ascribed to the competition of adsorption sites between Sb and phosphate ions due to the similar tetrahedral structure and s 2 p 3 outer electronic orbit [29]. HA also inhibited the removal of Sb(III) and Sb(V) remarkably.…”

“…Zhang et al studied the sorption of bromate using Zn‐Fe LDH prepared under 120°C . Lu et al studied the sorption of arsenate and antimonate by Zn‐Fe LDH . Both of these 2 studies reported that phosphate displayed the most remarkable competition effect for Zn‐Fe‐LDH adsorbent.…”

“…The absorption peaks at 3394 cm −1 and 1629 cm −1 illustrates the OH stretching and bending, respectively, because of the adsorbed water molecules 44 while the those at 1382 cm −1 and 1480 cm −1 assigned to the ν 3 stretching vibration of the NO 3 45 and carbonate 46 groups, and the peaks at the low wave number attributed to the metal-oxygen bond absorption. 47 X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy was performed to confirm the ingredients elemental composition of the prepared ternary nanocomposite and to determine its oxidation state. Figure 2 presents the XPS spectrum of the inorganic nanomaterials forming the ternary nanocomposite.…”
