Simultaneous determination of cytokinins by high performance liquid chromatography with resonance Rayleigh scattering and mechanism discussion

Abstract: A method of high performance liquid chromatography associated with resonance Rayleigh scattering (HPLC-RRS) was developed to detect three cytokinins, namely, 6-benzylaminopurine (BA), kinetin (KT) and zeatin (ZT).

“…Seedling leaves were collected 1, 7, and 15 days after smoke treatment and preserved in a dry ice cooler for subsequent laboratory analysis. The malondialdehyde (MDA) content in the leaves was determined by the thiobarbituric acid (TBA) method (Morales and Munné-Bosch 2019), while the contents of zeatin (ZA) and abscisic acid (ABA) were determined by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) (Ciha et al 1977;Zhang et al 2019).…”

“…Traditional analytical methods for quantifying 6-BA is inclusive of high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (LC–MS/MS), , which display high accuracy and sensitivity (Table ). However, they require expensive equipment, professional personnel, and time-consuming sample treatments.…”
