“…The voltammetric detection of Hcy was successfully performed for the first time in our study in the artificial urine medium, AU‐Siriraj by using disposable PGE. The single‐use graphite electrodes could bring many important advantages over the existing methods in the literature 1520, 3239, 4146, such as, being easy to use resulting with a less time consuming and cheaper detection protocol of Hcy, even in the mixture samples containing Hcy with low molecular‐mass biothiols derivates; L ‐cysteine, L ‐methionine and glutathione. This study enabled to perform, simple and precise determination of homocysteine using the single‐use PGE and DPV technique.…”

“…16 It is useful in the cure of AIDS associated myelopathy 17 and also cancer. 18 Human uids like blood plasma, 19,20 urine and serum contain Met. 21 An abnormal concentration of Met leads mainly to coronary artery disease in the human body 22 and hyper methioninemia and hyperhomocysteinemia in infants.…”

“…24,25 Levels of Met for a healthy human were determined to be $30.4 mM in human plasma, 19 $25.5 mM in human serum 21 and $5.9 mM in human urine. 21 A number of methods to detect Met have been described, including gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, 19,20 HPLC detection, 26 spectrophotometry 27 and conductometry. 28 However, limitations such as advanced devices, long time analysis and technical expertise are mentioned in connection with these methods.…”

“…In addition, PED at a gold electrode has proven to be selective for sulfur-containing compounds under mildly acidic conditions [10,19,20]. The use of PED following HPLC has been applied to methionine [20,21], glutathione oxidized/reduced [10,22], cysteine [21,22], homocysteine [21,23], antibiotics including penicillins and cephalosporins [11,[24][25][26], and other reduced and oxidized sulfur-containing compounds.…”
