Simulation Research on the Effectiveness of a Multiagent Mine Safety Supervision System and Its Verification

Abstract: A Computable Mine Safety Supervision (CMSS) model is constructed based on agent-based modeling and simulation (ABMS) technology and the conservation of resources (COR). This model aims to solve the mining safety problems involved with illegal mining operations and burnout among mining supervisors, in China. The model includes several types of agents: supervision agents, decision support agents, functional coordination agents, and miner agents, and it uses the Netlogo simulation platform to simulate the influen… Show more

“…We should start from the entire safety production system of mining enterprises, analyze the "principal contradictions" that need to be overcome in safety risk management and control, perceive changes in various risks in a timely manner, and formulate measures to control risks and kill accidents in the cradle. Relying on the "Standardization of Coal Mine Safety Production Management System", "Province A Coal Industry Group 2022 Safety Work Assessment Measures" and the research results of existing scholars [4][5][6][7][8][9][10]12 , this study followed the principle of "multi-subject and multi-dimension" to determine the four subsystems related to the safety risk of enterprises, namely, government, enterprise, employee, and external factors. For the enterprise administrator and the government supervisors, multiple evaluation indexes in terms of work, pressure, and economy were determined.…”

“…In addition, there are a lot of interactions among the 7 categories of factors 4 , 5 . In addition, some scholars have analyzed the influence of factors such as the level of enterprise informatization 6 , employee safety management satisfaction 7 , coal mining technology 8 , and coal mine safety supervision 9 on enterprise safety risks. Ma et al 10 , 11 took government supervision as the starting point to study the relationship between government behavior and enterprise safety accidents.…”

“…They ascertained that the advanced computational model was much better than the empirical method for estimating the ground vibration caused by blasting. Nie et al ( 103 ) established a computational mine safety supervision model based on multi-agent modeling and simulation technology and resource conservation technology. They also made suggestions to improve the mine safety supervision system and provided an improved safety management decision basis for reducing the occurrence of mine accidents.…”

“…In order to build a mature, reliable, and effective safety risk assessment system, many scholars studied the influencing factors of all levels and dimensions from different angles. In the field of coal mine safety risk assessment, some considered the informatization level (Wu et al, 2009), and some studied and analyzed the satisfaction degree on enterprise safety management (Bao et al, 2017), human factors (Liu et al, 2018), coal mine production influencing factors , and coal mine safety supervision factors (Nie et al, 2019). With the exception of analyzing and screening the influencing factors, determining the weight according to the role and importance of each factor is also a key issue and important step in building a safety risk assessment system.…”
