The present paper aims to predict the hygrothermal behavior of massive wood panel considered as bio-based building material. In this context, we developed a macroscopic model coupled no linear heat, air, and moisture transfers that incorporates simultaneously the effect of thermal diffusion and infiltration phenomenon on the building material. The model inputs parameters were evaluated experimentally according to the recognized standards of material's characterization. Therefore, numerous series of hygrothermal calculation were carried out on the 1-D and 2-D configuration in order to assess the dimensionless effect on such wooden material. Two types of boundary conditions were considered and examined. The first are at the material scale of wood drying process. The second type of conditions is at the wall scale, where the conditions of the building ambiance are considered. Moreover, the model sensitivity to the driving potentials coupling and to the parameters variability was considered and examined. It has been found that the coupling in the model had a remarkable impact on both kinetics of temperature and moisture content.

Abstract. Thermal stability of the enclosure structures is one of the most important objective in the building design. Thermal processes in the wall depend not only on the internal and external air temperature, but also on many other factors. Therefore, complexity of this process make heat conservation in the room to be an actual problem. This paper presents dependence between thermal stability of the enclosure structure and its design. It was shown that thermophysical characteristics of materials directly affect the thermal processes in the wall. For the research, three frequently used types of enclosure structure in Russia were taken. For each wall was found the average temperature and cooling time. As a result, it was found that the higher values of thermal conductivity, specific heat and material density are, the higher average temperature of the wall is.

Abstract. The paper presents new thermal design of external wall S. Radonezhskiy temple in Volgograd is developed according to author's concept. The three-layer brick wall, including a thermal insulation layer from concrete with polystyrene aggregates, is considered. Calculation of interstitial condensation in building component is carried out according to simplified calculation method developed by the author and harmonized to ISO 13788. Analysis of calculation results shows that condensation occurs at one interface during some months but there is no accumulation over the year as all the condensate is predicted to evaporate again. Thus, there is no systematic moisture accumulation at the building component within a year. The risk of run-off from non-absorbent materials will be very low. Analysis of the evaporation rates at the interface shows that duration of drying wetted layer in external wall during initial stage does not exceed admissible values.
