Ab s t r a c t. The subject of the study in the article is the data transfer processes in computer networks from the point of view of the network performance indicators, in particular, overload parameters. The purpose of the work is to create a simulation model of the behavior of a computer network, taking into account the mechanism of the "sliding window" and to demonstrate its work using a test example in combination with the previously proposed algorithms. The following tasks are solved in the article: analysis of the network as a complex multilevel system and isolation of the problems related to the transport layer of the OSI model; consideration of tasks that are solved by the transport layer of the data network; creation of the mechanism of modeling of functions of "sliding window"; demonstration of model work. The following research methods are used: basics of system analysis, models of network functioning, simulation modeling method. The following results were obtained: Based on the results of previous studies, the article proposes a new model of computer network behavior over a period of time. This model is based on the principles of simulation modeling, which became possible because of the certain fractal properties of incoming traffic, that is one of the initial data for the simulation. In the process of development, the seven-level OSI model was taken as the basic network model and its four lower levels were selected. Ensuring reliable information transmission at all protocol levels is based on the mechanisms of acknowledgement and "sliding window". The proposed model can reduce the amount of user data directly for each of the directions in a proportion directly proportional to their utilization of the specified congested channel. It is proposed to use a correction vector for each direction of information transmission in the model. Conclusions: The adequacy of the developed model is confirmed on the basis of practical calculations of the test case. The practical value of this model is the ability to predict bottlenecks when creating a computer network, or vice versa, to point out the redundancy of certain solutions in order to save significant funds in the future for providers and operators of communication services.

We presented a method based on multigraphs to mathematically define a distribution function in time for the generation of data exchange in a special-purpose communication network. This is needed for the modeling and design of communication networks (CNs) consisting of integrated telecommunications and computer networks (ITCN). Simulation models require a precise definition of network traffic communication. An additional problem for describing the network traffic in simulation models is the mathematical model of data distribution, according to which the generation and exchange of certain types and quantities of data are realized. The application of multigraphs enabled the time and quantity of the data distribution to be displayed as operational procedures for a special-purpose communication unit. A multigraph was formed for each data-exchange time and allowed its associated adjacency matrix to be defined. Using the matrix estimation method allowed the mathematical definition of the distribution function values. The application of the described method for the use of multigraphs enabled a more accurate mathematical description of real traffic in communication networks.

Relevance of the study. To improve the quality of service (QoS), the work of all network technologies, protocols, and individual traffic management mechanisms is constantly optimized. It is known that the quality of information transmission in modern telecommunication equipment is affected by the quality of synchronization devices. Synchronization is a means of maintaining the operation of all digital equipment in a data transmission network at one average speed, which must exist at three levels: bit synchronization, synchronization at the level of channel intervals (time slot) and frame synchronization. Therefore, the lack of synchronization of the computer system at the required level can lead to a significant decrease in QoS. At the same time, the requirements for ensuring these indicators are significantly tightened in the face of an increase in the load of network resources. Subject of study: computer system synchronization. The aim of the article is to develop a method for diagnosing synchronization disturbances in the telecommunications network of a computer system of critical application by increasing the resolution of an acousto-optical spectrum analyzer. Research results. The influence of non-stationary data transmission in the telecommunications subsystem of the computer system under study is analyzed. The analysis and classification of the causes of computer network synchronization failure of a critical application computer system is carried out. The article describes the consequences of a violation of computer network stabilization for ensuring the quality of service provided by various frequently used services. Proposed the use of acousto-optic spectrum analyzer with spatial integration for diagnostics of violations of the synchronization network. In work the analysis of the use of acousto-optic spectrum analyzers. The conducted research allowed us to obtain an analytical expression for the output signal of the spectroanalyzer when two rectangular pulses with different carrier frequencies, durations and delay times are received at its input. This result, as well as the numerical calculations provided, allowed us to develop General recommendations for increasing the resolution of the acousto-optical spectrum analyzer, and thus create theoretical prerequisites for improving the synchronization of the computer system. The given analytical relations and numerical estimates were experimentally verified by means of system simulation. Conclusions. As a result of the research, a method of diagnostics of synchronization violations in the telecommunications network of a computer system of critical application was proposed. The method is based on increasing the resolution of the measuring system based on an acoustooptic spectrum analyzer.
