Simulation and effects evaluation of anti-galloping devices for overhead transmission lines

Abstract: Abstract²The dynamic models of asymmetric ice-coated conductor and simulation of three most widely used anti-galloping devices were conducted with Finite Elements Methods (FEM) in ANSYS program. Fist, three anti-galloping devices, i.e. airflow-spoilers, detuning pendulums and interphase spacers, were applied in 110kV and 220kV high-voltage overhead experimental transmission lines.
