“…Usually regional scale analysis resorts to typological or semi empirical vulnerability methods but in this paper it's used a procedure that is based on rational mechanics with whom the ultimate displacement of a multi span bridge can be obtained with small computational effort and with few input data. Basing on the so called "Simplified Pushover Analysis" [4], instead of performing a full structural analysis under pushing loads, the vulnerability of the bridge is directly expressed by the capacity curve of an equivalent SDoF system.
