Silver‐Nanowire‐Catalyzed Three‐Component Coupling of Carbon Dioxide, Amines and Propargylic Alcohols for the Synthesis of β‐Oxopropyl Carbamates

Abstract: Both one-dimensional silver nanowires(AgNWs) and spherical silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) were synthesized with good dispersity and uniformity. In the presence of 4,4'dimethylaminopyridine (DMAP), the Ag NWs could catalyze the three-component coupling of carbon dioxide, secondary amines, and propargylic alcohols efficiently, furnishing a range of structurally diverse β-oxopropyl carbamatesin good to excellent yields, whereas the Ag NPs had a lower catalytic activity under similar reaction conditions.
