“…According to the Mie theory the intensity and the width of the absorbance peak of noble metals depend on diameter of the particle [14]. Considering obtained results we can assume that predictable diameter of Ag nanoparticles in colloidal solution corresponds to theoretical one.…”

“…The surface plasmon resonance (SPR) bands appeared in the range between 400 and 450 nm were assigned to silver particles. All the spectra had only one SPR peak without a broad shoulder centered at 550 nm, 22 indicating that there were only monometallic silver particles in the solution. There were two changing tendencies in the locations of SPR bands of silver particles when the molar ratios of Ag + to PAMAM dendrimers were more than 5∶1, that is, when the concentration of PAMAM was fixed, and the concentration of Ag + was increased, the intensity of the absorption band increased, and SPR bands shifted to a longer wavelength.…”

“…AgNO 3 and PAMAM dendrimers were dissolved in high-purity water to make desired concentration of 0.01 mol/L for AgNO 3 and 10 -5 mol/L for PAMAM dendrimers, respectively. Then, Ag + solutions were mixed into PAMAM dendrimer solutions by syringe.…”

“…Stabilizing agents can be surfactants or polymers containing functional groups [16,23]. The concentration of a stabilizing agent also determines the reactivity, solubility, stability, shape, and size of the nanoparticle [24]. The different types of stabilizing agents are illustrated in Figure 5.…”
