Significance of Shape Factor in Heat Transfer Performance of Molybdenum-Disulfide Nanofluid in Multiple Flow Situations; A Comparative Fractional Study

Abstract: In this modern era, nanofluids are considered one of the advanced kinds of heat transferring fluids due to their enhanced thermal features. The present study is conducted to investigate that how the suspension of molybdenum-disulfide (MoS2) nanoparticles boosts the thermal performance of a Casson-type fluid. Sodium alginate (NaAlg) based nanofluid is contained inside a vertical channel of width d and it exhibits a flow due to the movement of the left wall. The walls are nested in a permeable medium, and a unif… Show more

“…The effect of nanoparticles' shapes on irreversibility analysis of nanofluid flow in a microchannel with individual effects of radiative heat flux, velocity slip, and convective heating were analyzed by Sindhu and Gireesha [13]. Asifa et al [14] investigated the significance of the shape factor in the heat transfer performance of molybdenum-disulfide nanofluid in multiple flow situations. The effects of nanoparticles' shape and size on the thermohydraulic performance of plate evaporators using hybrid nanofluids were studied by Bhattad and Sarkar [15].…”

“…Related studies are in References. [59][60][61][62][63] Therefore, it is perceived that a substantial number of studies have been completed to show the hydrothermal pattern of nanofluids or simple Newtonian liquid flow within a square chamber with bottom and top surfaces that are differentially heated. However, no such corresponding report or investigation is available for magnetized radiative ferrofluid flow when the lowermost and sidewall of the square chamber are both uniformly or nonuniformly heated, despite having several real applications as declared earlier.…”
