Sialadenitis submandibular supurada aguda neonatal. Reportes de la literatura, periodo 1950-2015

Abstract: Neonatal acute suppurative submandibular sialadenitis is an uncommon infection that presents similar clinical features through the years. As microbiological feature, this infection is usually caused by Staphylococcus aureus, although some methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus have been implicated during the last 16 years. In general, it presents a satisfactory evolution with an early and appropriate antibiotic treatment.
