“…In our previous communication (Rundle and Atkin, 1976) we were able to show that the plasma levels of the ag-macroglobuUns in a number of subjects with ttiberose sclerosis were increased when compared to a similar group of institutionalised control subjects. At that time we were only able to suggest that the mechanism involved may be similar to that of the response of the so-called acute phase reactants to injury and to the presence of neoplastic tissue.…”
