“…Using polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis we found that in patients with obstructive liver disease the serum alkaline phosphatase showed a gross increase in the fast liver isoenzyme fraction with the appearance of several other isoenzyme fractions, the major contribution remaining at the origin.
