SERANGAN BOKTOR (Xystrocera festiva Pascoe) DAN KARAT TUMOR (Uromycladium tepperianum (Sacc.) McAlpine) PADA SENGON (Falcataria mollucana (Miq.) DI PERKEBUNAN TEH CIATER

Abstract: Sengon has become one of the preferred tree because it has many advantages over other commercial tree species. It was widely cultivated with a monoculture system, like agricultural cultivation. The consequence of monoculture planting system was the unstable microclimate environment, so the ecosystem was susceptible to the pest and disease explosion. As happens at the Ciater plantation site, sengon plants were attacked by pests and diseases. The purpose of research were to study the extent data and intensity of… Show more

“…Along with the increased organic carbon content, the soil C/N ratio and organic materials in the agroforestry land can promote plant growth (Utomo et al 2016). The intercropping system in agroforestry can also reduce the spread of pests and diseases (Lestari et al 2013;Rahayu et al 2021) compared to the monoculture system (Darwiati and Anggraeni 2018;Nugroho et al 2021). From a socioeconomic view, the agroforestry system is a win-win option that can become an income source for the community (Premono and Lestari 2018;Pachas et al 2019) without changing the field tradition (huma) (Iskandar et al 2017).…”

“…Agricultural development activities in rural areas can contribute to food security and poverty alleviation efforts [20]. The period of the New Order government, which regulates policies related to the Basic Provisions of Forestry in its implementation, emphasizes that forest exploitation is carried out based on the principle of forest sustainability and remains focused on increasing the production of forest products.…”
