The study looks at how the Covid-19 wave was in Peru, where and when it begins, where and when it culminates. As it faced, the shortcomings that were detected and especially that very little could be done to confront the disease as an emerging country. The wave began in May and ended in August with the greatest number of deaths and then fell. Methodology: Basic, explanatory level, with SINADEF data by region, of the situation room, to get the number of deaths, between January and September 2020/2019. Results. The relationship between infected and deceased was found a Pearson Rho of 0.94. The total death toll model depends on Lima, Huánuco, and Piura. The differences between the deaths of 2019 and 2020 were corroborated with the ANOVA, where a bilateral sig of 0.042 was got. The COVID cycle is found in the cluster algorithm model, of the nine months in 44.4% of them, it generated the highest lethality, between May and August. Conclusion. It is proven that COVID devastated regions of Peru.The model generated by the K-Means algorithm tells us that the COVID-19 cycle began in March and reached its highest peak of deceased and then descended.

En el estudio se analiza el entramado ferroviario de las provincias de Cádiz y Málaga, colindantes geográficamente y que cuentan con importantes similitudes socioeconómicas. Estos territorios se encuentran conectados interiormente y con el resto de Andalucía a partir de varias líneas ferroviarias que abarcan espacios serranos y costeros. El objetivo principal es aproximarse a las áreas de accesibilidad que se generan alrededor de las estaciones de viajeros en funcionamiento. También, analizar cómo podrían ampliarse si se plasmaran algunas de las propuestas que recogen los principales planes de infraestructuras a nivel regional y nacional, así como si se recuperaran algunas infraestructuras en desuso. Para calcular las áreas de accesibilidad se ha empleado el software ArcGIS y su extensión Network Analyst, y se utiliza información procedente de Renfe, Adif e IECA. A partir de este estudio se comprueba que la red actual tiene un área de accesibilidad directa que ronda el 55 % de la población de cada provincia, mientras que si se llegaran a poner en funcionamiento las líneas propuestas se alcanzaría más del 75 %. Este análisis permite establecer el potencial existente, donde la construcción determinados trazados permitiría un acceso más cercano al ferrocarril al ampliar la población cubierta por esta infraestructura.

A bibliometric analysis of 47-years of research on public health in Peru

Objectives: To measure Peruvian scientific production on public health in Scopus database. Methods: Bibliometric study using advanced Scopus web search engine (https://www.scopus.com/search/ form.uri?display=advanced). The inclusion criteria were the publications of articles related to public health between 1973 and 2020. The equation was used as a strategy: TITLE-ABS-CLAVE (“public health”) AND AFFILCOUNTRY (Peru) AND (EXCLUDE (PUBYEAR, 2021) OR EXCLUDE (PUBYEAR, 2020)). SCImago journal & country rank was used to determine the impact factor (h-index) and the quartile of the journals identified. The analysis included in SPSS v24.0 included years of publication, institutions, h-index, list of authors with the most publications, publication types, and journals. Results: 903 articles published by 7.5±12.5 authors were included, showing that 74.5% were original articles written mainly in English (77.7%). The publications for the year 1973 and 2019 were 3 (0.3%) and 98 (10.9%), respectively. In addition, it was shown that the most productive institutions were the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (42.9%) and the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (13.1%). The journal with the highest number of Peruvian publications was Revista Peruana de Medicina Experimental y Salud Pública (RPMESP) [Peruvian Journal of Experimental Medicine and Public Health (PJEMPH)] (17.5%) and PLoS ONE (2.88%). Conclusions: The present study showed in the magazines with the highest number of citations and therefore greater visualization, where Peruvian publications in this area were published, with this the future readers can take these magazines into consideration so that their publications have a greater visualization. In addition to this, the study shows the largest institutions that have a great impact on Peruvian publications in public health in Scopus, this invites researchers to analyze the research methodologies that these institutions follow in order to disclose them for reproduction in new entities interested in research.
