“…It should be noted that SNB is a diagnostic test and not a form of treatment. Additionally SNB is operator sensitive with a wide range of reported sensitivity (70%‐100%) as well as false negative (FN) results (2.56%‐36%) . Outcome for patients with a FN result (neck recurrence after a negative SNB) can be poor, thus every effort must be made to reduce the risk of such circumstances occurring.…”
