Surgical consensus guidelines on sentinel node biopsy (SNB) in patients with oral cancer

Abstract: Background The eighth international symposium for sentinel node biopsy (SNB) in head and neck cancer was held in 2018. This consensus conference aimed to deliver current multidisciplinary guidelines. This document focuses on the surgical aspects of SNB for oral cancer. “…To the Editor, With great interest we have read the recent article by Schilling et al published in H&N. 1 This document is focusing on the surgical aspects of Sentinel Node Biopsy (SNB) in oral cancer using 99m Tc-human serum albumin (HSA)-nanocolloid albumin as the marker of the lymphatic tracer from the primary tumor to the first draining lymph nodes.
