Self-consistent chemical model of partially ionized plasmas

Abstract: A simple renormalization theory of plasma particle interactions is proposed. It primarily stems from generic properties of equilibrium distribution functions and allows one to obtain the so-called generalized Poisson-Boltzmann equation for an effective interaction potential of two chosen particles in the presence of a third one. The same equation is then strictly derived from the Bogolyubov-Born-Green-Kirkwood-Yvon (BBGKY) hierarchy for equilibrium distribution functions in the pair correlation approximation. … Show more

“…Recently, the description of plasma particle interactions by using the renormalization procedure [33] has been proposed to explore the Poisson-Boltzmann equation for an effective interaction potential of two chosen particles in the presence of a third particle in partially ionized dense hydrogen plasmas. Hence, the investigation for the renormalization shielding effects on the occurrence time in dense hydrogen plasmas will be treated elsewhere.…”

“…At the derivation of basic equation (4) an appropriate averaging procedure was used to account for the collective events in plasmas [6]. Such a renormalization should evidently exclude the states of the plasma particles inside the dust grains.…”

“…Of use in the following is the renormalization theory of plasma particles interactions 30 in which an appropriate averaging procedure over particles positions is carried out to account for the collective events in plasmas. No doubt, such a renormalization has to exclude the particles positions located inside the dust grains.…”
