Biodiversitas 22: 3006-3012. Selection process is important step to obtain high yielding variety. This study aimed to obtain information on agronomic performance of doubled haploid lines of rainfed rice in advanced yield trials and select the best lines for multi-location yield trials. Two experiments were conducted in Bogor and Subang using a randomized complete block design for each location and consisted of 35 doubled haploid lines and two check varieties namely Ciherang and Inpari 18 as a treatment. The result revealed that interaction between genotype and environment (G x E) significantly affected all agronomic characters, except on the panicle length. Characters with high heritability value were all agronomic characters except number of productive tillers and productivity. Genotypic correlation analysis showed that number of productive tillers and weight of 1000 grains had significant and positive correlation with productivity. The selection used weighted selection index based on multivariate analysis. Fourteen lines were selected for multi-location yield trials. These lines had characteristics as follows: number of productive tillers (14.0-17.7 tillers), weight of 1000 grains (24.7-32.5 g), and productivity (5.0-6.2 ton ha-1). The selected lines can be evaluated further to obtain superior lines in multi-location trials.

Padi hitam merupakan sumber karbohidrat yang bermanfaat untuk kesehatan. Pengujian daya hasil merupakan tahapan penting dalam menentukan keberhasilan pemuliaan padi beras hitam. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk memperoleh informasi keragaan agronomi dan menyeleksi galur-galur dihaploid padi beras hitam yang memiliki penampilan agronomi baik dan berdaya hasil tinggi untuk pengujian multi lokasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dari bulan November 2019 sampai Juli 2020 di Bogor, Jawa Barat dan Malang, Jawa Timur. Sebanyak 23 galur dihaploid padi hitam yang memiliki sifat agronomi baik dengan produktivitas tinggi dan 3 varietas pembanding yaitu Aek Sibundong, Jeliteng, dan Inpari 24 digunakan sebagai materi genetik. Studi ini menggunakan rancangan rancangan kelompok lengkap teracak dengan 3 ulangan pada setiap percobaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi genotipe dan lingkungan berpengaruh nyata terhadap semua karakter pengamatan kecuali pada karakter lama pengisian gabah berdasarkan analisis keragaman. Sebanyak 14 galur yang terseleksi berdasarkan indeks terboboti memiliki karakteristik jumlah anakan produktif per rumpun dari 15.8 hingga 25.9, umur panen genjah dari 115.2 to 121.9 hari setelah semai, dan produktivitas >5.4 ton ha-1. Keragaan agronomi dan daya hasil galur-galur dihaploid padi yang terseleksi pada penelitian ini memerlukan pengujian lebih lanjut melalui uji multi lokasi untuk memperoleh calon varietas unggul baru padi beras hitam. Most studies on genomic selection in plant breeding compare different statistical methods of univariate approach. However, multi-trait methodologies should be considered since they allow the simultaneous selection of superior genotypes in several economic traits. Here, the aims were to compare the selection accuracy and efficiency of the multivariate partial least square (MPLS) method compared with random regression best linear unbiased predictor (rrBLUP), Bayesian Lasso (Blasso) and univariate partial least square (UPLS) and to develop genomic selection indexes efficient for superior genotypes identification in plant breeding. Ten F 2 populations with 800 individuals were simulated, considering four traits with different heritabilities. Genomic selection analyses using rrBLUP, Blasso, UPLS, and MPLS were conducted. Four genomic selection indexes were elaborated by the sum of the marker effects obtained for each trait, weighted by the respective residual variance. Multi-trait indexes were developed based on the assumptions of each methodology mentioned (rrBLUP, Blasso, UPLS, and MPLS), and were denominated I-rrBLUP, I-Blasso, I-UPLS, and I-MPLS. Processing time, selective accuracy, selection gains, and selection coincidence were used to compare the methods and the selection indexes proposed. The MPLS method had similar results compared to UPLS method for the low heritability traits and was less efficient than the rrBLUP and Blasso. The genome selection indexes provided the highest total genetic gains. The I-rrBLUP and I-MPLS indexes stood out for high efficiency in selecting superior genotypes in the shortest processing time. Results suggest that the genomic selection indexes proposed in this study may be promising for plant breeding programs.
