Abstract

Islamic economics has emerged in the 1970s, but the thought of Islamic economics has emerged at the time of the Prophet Muhammad. This Islamic economy emerged simultaneously with the revelation of the Qur'an and the lifetime of the Prophet in the 6th century to the 7th century AD. During the leadership of the Prophet Muhammad, precisely in the Medina period, the Islamic economy had been developed, although the concept was still very simple, but he was able to demonstrate the basic principles for economic management. The practice of Islamic economics at the time of the Prophet and Khulafaurrasyidin and tab'in shows the very large role of the market.
