Seasonal photoacclimation in the North Pacific Transition Zone

Abstract: The North Pacific Transition Zone Chlorophyll Front (TZCF) is a basin-scale feature of elevated chlorophyll concentrations noted in early satellite observations of ocean color (Glover et al., 1994). The front exhibits marked seasonality, moving from a summertime northern position at approximately 40°N, to a wintertime southern position at approximately 30°N (Figure 1; Follett et al., 2021).
