Screening of Potato Cultivars (Solanum Tuberosum L.) and Identification of Markers of Fesistance Genes to PVX, PVY, Globodera Pallida and Globodera Rostochiensis

Abstract

Currently, the control of many pathogens and pests is carried out by repeated chemical treatments. However, this method of protection requires large material and technical costs, is not environmentally safe and is not effective for all types of pathogens. Therefore, the main direction in the control of numerous potato diseases and pests is to identify and create varieties with complex resistance that can provide the required level of plant protection from phytopathogens. Selective sampling with different types of resistance is important. In the Potato and Vegetable Growing Department of Federal State Budget Scientific Institution "Federal Scientific Center of Agricultural Biotechnology of the Far East named after A. K. Chaika" work is underway to identify donor varieties with resistance genes to PVX and PVY viruses, pests-the pale potato nematode Globodera pallida and the golden cyst-forming potato nematode Globodera rostochiensis.
