The fourth version of the UW-QOL is suitable for routine screening in clinical practice.

“…Although it can be used as a stand-alone questionnaire, we use the HNC-PCI with the University of Washington Quality of Life questionnaire, version 4 (UWQoL), 13 which is a validated HNC-specific health-related QoL (HRQoL) tool that contains 12 domains scaled from 0 (worst) to 100 (best) according to the hierarchy of response. There are 2 subscale composite scores 14 : Physical function and Socialemotional function, and a single 6-point overall measure of QoL.
