Production of oilseeds for agricultural producers is one of the main sources of profitability, which allows to ensure efficient operation. The constant growth in demand for rapeseed, soybean and sunflower seeds both in Ukraine and on the world market has led to an expansion of the area occupied by these crops. The purpose of the research is to conduct a comparative assessment of short-rotation crop rotations saturated with oilseeds, and to determine the most effective options for the zone of sufficient moisture of the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe. Field research was conducted in a long-term stationary experiment at the Khmelnytsky State Agricultural Research Station of the Institute of Feed and Agriculture of Podillya NAAS during 2016-2018 on chernozem podzolic in five-field crop rotations, saturated with 40-60 % grain and 40-60 % oilseeds. According to research, the highest level of profitability of 157 % was provided by crop rotation saturated with 40 % oilseeds, of which 20 % winter rape and 20 % soybeans, the cost of which was the highest at the lowest cost of cultivation. The energy efficiency ratio was 4.57 conventional units. With the introduction of 40 % of winter rape in crop rotation, oil harvest increased by 45 %, but other productivity indicators per hectare of crop rotation area decreased significantly. High average yield of grain crops-6.93 t/ha, harvest of feed units-7.12 tons, digestible protein-0.790 tons per hectare of crop rotation area at a level of profitability of 111 % was obtained in crop rotation saturated with 60 % grain and 40 % oilseeds, of which 20 % sunflower and 20 % soybeans, under an alternative fertilizer system. The energy efficiency ratio was 3.52 conventional units. The use of only a mineral fertilizer system in an identical crop rotation set increased the energy efficiency of a hectare of crop rotation area.

Aim. To study the impact of perennial grasses mixtures on the formation of erosion resistance of gray forest soils of different degradation degree and their unmodifi ed analogues in conditions of long-term permanent experiment. Methods. Field, laboratory, assessment and comparison. Results. It was established that lupine- cereal grass mixtures increased erosion resistance of slope soils considerably within fi fteen years. The sum of soil structural aggregates was improved from satisfactory into good category. There were positive changes in the number of water-resistant aggregates as well. The studies confi rmed a positive impact of legume-grasses on the density and porosity of soil. Soil density was the lowest when the slope was laid down in perennial lupine and its mixture with cereal grasses. The intensifi cation of soil erosion and the approximation of the illuvial horizon level to the surface resulted in the compaction of upper soil layers to 1.29–1.44 g/cc. General porosity of soil correlated with its density which did not exceed optimal values in poorly eroded soils in upper layers. The studies proved the impact of the ways of laying down the slope in grass and the level of soil degradation on its humidity and water permeability. In the experiment conditions, the increase in soil degradation led to the decrease in its moisture. The decrease in the content of humidity in crop fi eld took place at the expense of higher intensity of the growth and water consumption of lupine-cereal grasses in comparison with natural mixed herbs, especially in the periods with a small amount of precipitation. The difference in the upper soil layers was in the range of 0.2–0.5 %. It was established that the highest values of soil water permeability were formed on lupine-cereal grass mixtures in all the variants of degraded soils. Conclusions. Laying down slope lands in perennial lupine in combination with cereal grasses promotes the formation of their higher resistance to erosion processes and restoration of fertility. Perennial legume-cereal mixtures ensure the improvement of structural-aggregate state, total density and porosity of soil, enhance its water supply and water permeability.

Мета. Провести аналіз науково-організаційних підходів в історичному аспекті щодо поетапних досліджень відділу сільськогосподарського землекористування і захисту ґрунтів від ерозії ННЦ «ІЗ НААН» за період заснування та розвитку. Методи. Методологічною основою дослідження є загальнонаукові принципи історичної достовірності, наукової об'єктивності, наступності та діалектичного розуміння ерозійних процесів. Системний підхід до обґрунтування науково-методологічних основ сутності грунтовоекологічних кризових явищ в землекористуванні і охороні земель сільськогосподарського призначення від деградаційних процесів. Результати. Узагальнено багаторічний досвід та наведено основні результати вагомих науково-виробничих досліджень по розробленню комплексу заходів захисту ґрунтів від ерозії, зокрема в контексті ризиків прояву посилення водної і вітрової ерозії, змін клімату та процесів опустелювання. Визначено новітні підходи до охорони та раціонального використання земельних ресурсів в ерозійно-небезпечних агроландшафтах, напрямів розроблення заходів щодо захисту ґрунтів від ерозії, які будуть спрямовані не тільки на діагностику порушень ерозійно-екологічного стану, а й обумовлять диференційований підхід до регулювання інтенсивності деструктивних процесів в агроландшафтах з метою досягнення нейтрального рівня деградації земель. Висновки. Встановлено на основі цілісного науково історичного аналізу ефективність застосування системи протиерозійних, грунтоохоронних заходів на схилових землях при впровадженні ґрунтозахисної адаптивно-ландшафтної системи землеробства як прикладу кращої практики у сфері охорони та екологічно безпечного використання земельних ресурсів. Ключові слова: історія науки й техніки, еволюція,охорона земель, ерозія ґрунтів, деградація земель, агроландшафт, земельно-ресурсний потенціал, ґрунтозахисне землеробство.
