Science gateway for distributed multiscale course management in e-Science and e-Learning &amp;#x2014; Use case for study and investigation of functionalized nanomaterials

-The concept of the augmented coaching ecosystem for non-obtrusive adaptive personalized elderly care is proposed on the basis of the integration of new and available ICT approaches. They include multimodal user interface (MMUI), augmented reality (AR), machine learning (ML), Internet of Things (IoT), and machine-tomachine (M2M) interactions. The ecosystem is based on the Cloud-Fog-Dew computing paradigm services, providing a full symbiosis by integrating the whole range from low level sensors up to high level services using integration efficiency inherent in synergistic use of applied technologies. Inside of this ecosystem, all of them are encapsulated in the following network layers: Dew, Fog, and Cloud computing layer. Instead of the "spaghetti connections", "mosaic of buttons", "puzzles of output data", etc., the proposed ecosystem provides the strict division in the following dataflow channels: consumer interaction channel, machine interaction channel, and caregiver interaction channel. This concept allows to decrease the physical, cognitive, and mental load on elderly care stakeholders by decreasing the secondary human-to-human (H2H), human-to-machine (H2M), and machine-to-human (M2H) interactions in favor of M2M interactions and distributed Dew Computing services environment. It allows to apply this non-obtrusive augmented reality ecosystem for effective personalized elderly care to preserve their physical, cognitive, mental and social well-being.

Digital ecosystems are a set of interconnected elements that enable an integrated and seamless digital experience. In education, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has great potential to improve teaching and learning. However, for the expectations placed on the educational use of AI to be met, it is necessary to develop adequate digital ecosystems that allow its effective implementation. Therefore, it is of great importance to deepen the understanding of these ecosystems and their key elements for such implementation. For this purpose, a systematic review of the literature on this subject was conducted, which included the analysis of 76 articles published in peer-reviewed journals. The main results of the review highlight the current focus of research in that matter, which relates digital ecosystems and artificial intelligence around the personalization of learning. Also, some aspects related to this relationship are analyzed from four categories: networks, applications, services, and users.

The pre-service teachers must be prepared to integrate technology into classroom learning. This technical capability must be adapted to the material to be taught. Material for physics has a different character, especially in the selection of media. Media on one material is not necessarily suitable for other materials. The pre-service physics teacher must have the ability to analyze content and find appropriate technology in making media. This study was aimed to implement project learning for ICT based learning in physics courses for a pre-service physics teacher. This research can be used to see how significant Technological-Content-Knowledge (TCK) pre-service physics teacher is through Project-Based Learning (PjBL). This PjBL is applied to the undergraduate pre-service physics teacher level. All students participated in full lectures for 16 meetings, which were combined between the explanation of topic matter guidance and progress report. The lecturer will give feedback to all students. The data taken is the initial ability of students, evaluation of progress reports, and project output of each student. The results obtained were students’ pre-service physics teacher had a portfolio and an increase in TCK pre-service physics teachers were initially students were still having difficulties in applying technology with physics content.
