Schwannoma of the colon and rectum: a systematic literature review

Abstract: BackgroundSchwannomas of the colon and rectum are rare among gastrointestinal schwannomas. They are usually discovered incidentally as a submucosal mass on routine colonoscopy and diagnosed on pathologic examination of the operative specimen.
