Schimke immunoosseous dysplasia: a multisystem disorder

Abstract: Schimke immunoosseous dysplasia is an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia, lymphopenia with defective cellular immunity, and renal insufficiency. It is caused by a biallelic mutation in SMARCAL 1 gene.
