Abstract:Background: The scapula plays a unique role in shoulder movement and stability. The dimensions of the scapula and its geometry, however, are of essential importance in the pathomechanics of rotator cuff syndrome, total shoulder arthroplasty, and recurrent shoulder dislocation.
