“…A limit of the study could be considered the adoption of the SAT-P which is a new questionnaire, validated on the Italian population [30], but not previously used in clinical trials or in OA patients. Nevertheless, its psychometric properties have been previously confirmed, and moreover it is the only Italian questionnaire specifically aimed at assessing subjective satisfaction in daily life, independently of the presence of a disease.…”

“…To assess the perceived state of satisfaction and well-being and the daily functioning of the participants, we used the Satisfaction Profile (SAT-P) questionnaire (11); this instrument was specifically designed to assess subjective satisfaction with every day life according to 32 items grouped within 5 factors (psychological, physical and social functioning, work, sleep, eating and leisure). The subject is asked to rate his satisfaction level for the considered variables on a horizontal 10 centimeter visual analogue scale; for example, how much is he satisfied about his amount of sleep, without saying how much he slept.…”

“…The SAT-P questionnaire is a self-administered generic (non-disease-specific) instrument for patients widely used in Italy that provides a global evaluation of quality of life and perceived subjective well-being. The SAT-P test is made up of 32 items related to the subjective satisfaction of different aspects of daily life over the last month, assessed on a 10-cm horizontal, visual, analogue scale (from 0 on the left, "totally dissatisfied", to 100 on the right, "totally satisfied") (22,23). The questionnaire provides two profiles: an analytic profile (that considers singly each of the 32 items) and a synthetic more concise profile that considers the following five factors (as a consequence of factor analysis (22): psychological functioning, physical functioning, work, sleep/eating/leisure, and social functioning).…”
