“…In comparison with earlier developed scatterometer-radiometer systems of S (~3GHz), K (~20GHz) and Ka (~37GHz) band of frequencies [10][11][12][13][14][15], the described system has two receiving channels, which allow simultaneously receipt both co-and cross polarized components of the backscattered signals and vertical and horizontal polarized components of the signals of the observed surface proper radiothermal emission.…”

“…For this purpose it is necessary and very significant to develop and to manufacture combined radarradiometers, suitable for short range remote sensing, which will allow perform field or quasi-field measurements under test-control laboratory conditions. Such a task was solved in Armenia by ECOSERV Remote Observation Centre Co. Ltd. [10][11][12][13][14][15] in the framework of the ISTC (International Science and Technology Center) Project A-872, which had the aim to develop and to build an experimental site equipped by a measuring complex of L-Ka band combined, short pulse scatterometer-radiometer systems for short distance application (at ~5m minimum operational range for scatterometers). The objectives of the above mentioned Project were successfully achieved and S (~3GHz), K (~20GHz) and Ka (~37GHz) band, single-polarization, combined, short pulse scatterometer-radiometer systems were developed and tested in the field conditions by ECOSERV Remote Observation Centre Co. Ltd. [10][11][12][13][14][15].…”

“…Such a task was solved in the framework of the ISTC (International Science and technology Center) Project A-872 with the main goals to develop and to build an experimental site equipped by a measuring complex of L-Ka band combined, short pulse scatterometer-radiometer systems for short distance application (at ~6m minimum operational range for scatterometers). The objectives of the above mentioned Project were successfully achieved and S (~3GHz), K (~20GHz) and Ka (~37GHz) band polarimetric, combined, short pulse scatterometer-radiometer systems were developed and tested in field conditions by ECOSERV Remote Observation Centre Co.
