C-band polarimetric combined short-pulse scatterometer/radiometer system for platform and vessel application

Abstract: In this paper a C-band (~5.6GHz), double channel, polarimetric, combined short-pulse scatterometer-radiometer system is described. The system was developed for short distance remote sensing application (from 6m up to 100m), from stationary fixed platforms or vessels. The minimum operational range for the scatterometer is 6m.
