Rupture of a giant aneurysm of the accessory middle cerebral artery: a case report and a literature review

Abstract: The accessory middle cerebral artery is a rare congenital vascular abnormality. The international literature has reported cases of accessory MCA aneurysms. In this article, we describe a case of rupture of a giant partially thrombosed aneurysm of the accessory MCA. This case is of great interest due to rarity of the pathology and associated diagnostic errors.
