Abstract:Controlling the nucleation and growth processes for nanoparticle
synthesis allows the development of well-defined structures that offer
unique chemical and physical properties. Here, we report a wet chemical
reduction method for synthesizing ruthenium nanocubes (Ru NCs) that
display plasmonic properties at room temperature (RT). The growth
of the particles to form nanostructured cubes was established by varying
the carbon chain length of the thioether stabilizing ligands and the
reaction time to produce stable… Show more

“…Dr. Phillips’ reflection provides a unique perspective on the lasting influence and legacy of Dr. Greene. Following this personal reflection, we present invited research articles submitted to this VSI to honor Dr. Greene and further recognize the importance of her work in advancing the discipline. − We then include selected recent articles published in Langmuir that showcase advances within research areas related to those that Dr. Greene devoted her scientific career to advancing. − This collection of articles is divided into four sections that reflect the breadth of topics influenced by Dr. Greene’s accomplishments (Table ).…”

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
